Psychotherapy Affinity Group
A Community of Mental Health Practitioners Exploring Relational Cultural Theory (RCT) in Psychotherapy
The Psychotherapy Affinity Group is a collaborative space for mental health professionals dedicated to deepening their understanding of Relational Cultural Theory (RCT) as it applies to clinical practice. This group provides members with opportunities to study and discuss RCT concepts, advancing both theoretical knowledge and practical skill in relationally centered mental health treatment.
Advancing RCT in Clinical Practice
Through engaging discussions, shared resources, and focused study sessions, members work together to apply RCT principles within various therapeutic modalities. RCT, which highlights the importance of relationships, empathy, and social contexts in personal growth, offers a unique framework for enhancing the therapeutic process. The group explores how concepts such as mutual empathy, growth-fostering relationships, and the “Five Good Things” can be applied in practice, enabling clinicians to support clients’ growth more effectively.
